AROUND PILTON AT FESTIVAL

Shepherds

For the last 2 years, scarecrows and pirates have shown up in Pilton gardens and on houses during the week leading up to Green Man Day.  Click on the image below to see some great examples. This year’s theme is Shepherds so why not make the whole village just a bit more fun by putting a shepherd in your front garden or in a window or by your front door?  Let’s see if we can outdo last year and make people smile as they pass!

Bull Hill House

Bull Hill House, one of the oldest buildings in Pilton and an historic Grade 1 Listed Building, will be open to visitors on Green Man Day. If you would like to visit you will need to book as last year it was fully-booked. Details of the tours are shown below. Call 01271 377979 to find out more.

Treasure Hunt

Festival Sunday is for Pilton folk.  So, why not use your knowledge of Pilton to take part in the Family Treasure Hunt, starting from the church from 2:00pm.  With our map, follow the clues around the village to find, bit by bit, the answers to the question.  It’s quite safe and ends with tea and cakes in the Church Hall.
